APPLICATION PROCESS(1STEP-4STEP) 1. Application Confirm: 1) 1st submission date: by February 28, 2025 2) 2nd submission date: by March 14, 2025 2. Documents review (Supplement) 3. Submission to the immigration: March 4, 2025 /March 17, 2025 4. Approval of Extension Notice · The final issuance period is about 3 to 4 weeks from the time the application is completed at the immigration office. · You must stay in Korea during the administrative agency processing period, and you may not be allowed to leave the country. · Petition applications should be made at least 2 business days before the expiration date of your stay. Therefore, it is highly recommended to apply in advance. · If your date of stay expires before the extension permit is confirmed, there might be some difficulties in using banking services, health insurance benefits and mobile services, but once the extension is permitted, you can use those services as before. Checklists before application ▶ If you have re-issued your passport, notification of change in registration information should be done at the immigration office before applying for e-petition. • Notification of change in registration information (Hikorea): Hikorea online application ▶ Please check whether you paid local tax and national health insurance fee. Please check whether you declared an address change if you have moved your address of residence. 2. Residence Documents - Please submit a copy of the housing contract or dormitory fee payment receipt. - Must match the address on the back of the ARC. 3. Certificate of Enrollment (Issued by the Student Service Center) 4. Transcript (Issued by the Student Service Center) 5. Certificate of tuition payment (Issued by inSTAR) "When printing the tuition payment confirmation from inSTAR, please make sure to check the following:"

Certificate of bank balance (8,000,000 won x months to extend) - Submit a bank balance certificate issued within 30 days of the visa extension application date, under your own name from a domestic bank. - Additional Required Documents: English Version of the Certificate of Overseas Remittance(From Home Country to South Korea, Transaction history of funds transferred from a parent overseas to the student's account in Korea.), English Version of the Certificate of Family Relationship
- The sender's name on the overseas remittance certificate must match the English name on the certificate of family relationship. - The bank balance certificate is only valid for regular transaction accounts. A balance certificate issued for a housing subscription savings account will not be accepted. - Please ensure that funds of unclear origin, such as those from illegal private currency exchange, are not deposited or withdrawn.

(However, please note that it may not be recognized by immigration authorities.) ▶ Stricter Review for Students with a GPA Below 2.0 for Two Consecutive Semesters ▶ Student with Low Academic Performance & Students exceeding 8 semesters - If your grades are too low, the immigration office may require additional supporting documents during the review process. (For example: a six-month bank transaction history, etc.)
